I started using this tube last spring and I love them, They are the best tube I can find. I have been fishing Lake Erie and St. Clair for years and this tube produces more bites and that means more fish in the live well. What makes this tube better (widow maker tubes) is the longer tails, they move at the slightest movement. They have alot of salt and the scent makes them even better. The die seems to penetrate the tube to get the natural color you want. So don't go to the lake without them for samllmouth or largemouth fishing they both love them

I have been using Drop Shot Denny's Widow Maker tubes for over 1-1/2 years, mainly fishing many of the inland lakes in Michigan. I've also tried many other big box brands as during this time frame. Widow Maker tubes have become one of my "go to" baits because of their versatility. Most tubes you purchase have a longer body and shorter skirts. I think the Widow Maker tubes longer skirt impart more action, no matter how you're rigging and fishing them.
The wide variety of tube colors and color combinations offered match any water/weather condition or "hatch", and keeps me catching fish. Large mouths and small mouths, (as well as pike) love these tubes. They are tough and take a beating. I can catch many fish on one tube and it looks almost as good as when you pulled it out of the package.I like the fact that his tubes come "marinated" in the package with garlic oil/scent.
The only concern I have, and I use that word lightly, is that the tube colors start to fade over time if exposed to long periods in the sun. You don't want to get water in your tackle boxes either, since the tubes- if water soaked, have a tendency to start to look dried out and faded. I've overcome that by keeping my tubes slathered with a good garlic oil scent in my tackle boxes.
Denny's prices are as competitive, if not more so than other tackle distributors, based on his tube quality and package quantities he provides.

Pros :
I love the long tail that the tubes have! They have so much more action than other tubes with longer bodies. From the way the body slowly narrows down all the way to the tapered tail, it is perfect in shape! Part of the reason the body tapers down is because of the Bite Me tube heads I use. No offense to the heads you sale, The Bite Me's are just more readily available and the hooks Gamakatsu hooks are super sharp. The overall profile of the rigged bait is excellent though, and I really think about the way the bait appears on the hook whereas most anglers just look at the bait. The salt impregnation you use is also superior to all the tubes I have previously used. Cast after cast, I can still see the salt in and on the bait. Also, the color selection covers all of the basic forage. And on top of that, you have some colors that work well in stained water.
Cons :
(constructive criticism) Back to color selection. I think that colors that will work in southern, dirtier lakes would be great. However, noticing the push towards swimbait and other naturalistic baits, I think some colors, such as a two-tone or faded shad pattern would be extremely successful. Also a color with more white, kinda like salt and pepper, would also grab more attention. I also think that a flippin' tube would get a larger customer base. I know its not prevelant up there, but down here we do alot of pitchin' and flippin' into flooded brush. Seeing as how most of it is "flooded" it is also dirty. Colors such as black and blue, black and chartruese w/ red flake (my absolute favorite in extremely muddy water), and black neon (color I have had the most overall success with). On top of this, I think the perfect flippin tube has a firmer head, or stays solid slightly farther down the body. This allows one bait to catch more fish, plus it falls differently and comes through cover more solidly. This would also mean changing the profile slightly though. A larger, bulkier body would accomodate a 4/0 hook perfectly, but also a fairly long tail like you have now to provide more action. The perfect tube length, to me, would be about 4 1/2 - 5 inches.
I am extremely impressed with the quantity and quality of fish the tubes catch now. They helped me several times last season and are part of the reason I made it to the BWS south-central regional on Sam Rayburn, where I made the top 10 out of 171 other pro anglers. I just think that some other variations would catch the eye of more southern anglers. This southern region is where most of the bass fishernman concentrate one, therefore a much larger customer base. Again though, I am still very surprised at how well your tubes work and it has become THE GO-TO BAIT for me if I need to a couple more fish in the boat. I have also caught several quality fish up to 5 lbs on them. It is something that anglers in this area just dont take advantage of.

Until I meet Dennis at Drop Shot Denny’s I fished a name brand tube. After talking with Dennis about his Widow Maker brand tubes, I decided to give them a try. A few days after I received the tubes I was able to get on a solid two day tube bite. This gave me a good opportunity to give both brands a fair side by side comparison.
The first thing that came to my attention on the Widow Maker is the short body with a longer cut tail. This gives this tube a much better action compared to your standard tube. The fish catch ratio between Widow Maker and the name brand tube was 2 to 1 and as far as durability. Widow Maker is a softer tube, but bite for bite held up much better compared to the other brand. Also the fact that they are loaded with salt and garlic scent and are very reasonable priced is a plus.
Just a overall great experience fishing this bait and will have plenty for my next fishing trip in my tackle box. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to fish a great product.
